Let's try this again

Hey folks!

If you've been a fan, friend, or have just followed my music in the past, you know this isn't my first attempt at a blog. I truly love the idea of a blog. It allows anyone to share their voice on any topic they choose, and in return, it allows the reader to choose if they care to continue to follow along. Somewhat like social media, but better in my opinion. But I'm not here to explain to everyone what a blog is, because 99% of you are already familiar with that definition.

For those who know me, I'm a heavy planner. I like to analyze the idea or end goal over and over again, until I've got enough clarity to press the play/record button. This is a curse and a blessing for me. In my previous blog's, I've always said, "ok Jordan, you're going to write at LEAST one blog a week." This seems reasonable, right? Unfortunately, I also tend to put more on my plate than a Thanksgiving feast. I'll write the first post, then next thing I know I've spent the next two days writing music, then the third day taking some photos and editing them, then the following night writing more music and going to a buddies show, spending time with my wife, etc, etc. The list goes on!

Needless to say, it was tough for me. I would find myself at a point where I felt, if I couldn't write one blog post a week, then why even have one? In reality, there are no rules. This is strictly something I choose to do for fun. My outlook wasn't where it needed to be to continue to build a successful blog.

So here we are, a fresh slate, a clear mind, and more exciting announcements with my music to come. Let's try this again...

If you're thinking about starting a blog, I highly recommend it. I truly believe everyone out there has a story to be told. Hell, it doesn't even have to be a story! It can just be life experiences. People like to know they aren't alone in a situation. It brings comfort to others when they know someone out there has experienced the same scenario. I know I do. It helps me to read the trial and errors, what worked, what didn't work, what they may have done different next time. That's life. We all need a little reminder sometimes that it doesn't always have to be perfect.

If you attempted to start a blog in past but felt a little overwhelmed or undetermined, I say give it another try!
